Terms of Use

Afuelo (“the Platform”) is operated by Afuelo Ltd (“Afuelo”, “we”), a private company registered in Uganda. The Platform is a supplier directory and introduction service for the oil & gas service and supply sector: it publishes company-level profiles, relays requests for quotation, and brokers joint-venture introductions through the Afuelo desk. By accessing the Platform you agree to these Terms.

Afuelo provides introductions and market information only. We are not a party to, broker of record for, or guarantor of any contract, tender, quotation, joint venture, or other arrangement formed between users, suppliers, buyers, or any third party. Every commercial decision — including due diligence, contracting, pricing, and performance — remains solely between the parties concerned. Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, financial, tax, or procurement advice, and no listing, badge, or verification mark is a recommendation to contract with any company.

Supplier profiles contain company-level information only, compiled from public registers and publications (including the Petroleum Authority of Uganda's National Supplier Database, the Uganda Registration Services Bureau register, and public procurement and operator publications) and from information submitted by companies themselves. We record the source (provenance) of the data we hold. “Verified” means Afuelo has cross-checked a profile against the stated public records at a point in time; it is not a warranty that the information remains accurate, complete, or current, nor an endorsement by Afuelo or any regulator.

Some profiles are published before the company concerned has claimed them. Unclaimed listings are marked as such, are compiled solely from public sources, and carry no submitted or private information. A company may claim its listing, correct it, or request its removal by contacting desk@afuelo.com. Inquiries addressed to unclaimed listings are relayed by the Afuelo desk; contact details are never published.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of information you submit. You must not: misrepresent your identity or authority to act for a company; scrape, bulk-extract, or resell Platform data; upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content; interfere with the operation or security of the Platform; or use the Platform to circumvent applicable law, including local-content and procurement rules. We may suspend or remove accounts or content that breach these Terms.

The Platform, its design, text, and compilations are the property of Afuelo Ltd or its licensors. Underlying public-register facts remain public; the Platform's selection, arrangement, and presentation of them may not be reproduced at scale without our written consent. Companies retain rights in the material they submit and grant Afuelo a licence to display it on the Platform.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afuelo excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss — including loss of profit, business, or opportunity — arising from use of the Platform, reliance on directory content, or any dealing between parties introduced through it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019.

We may update these Terms; the date above reflects the current version and continued use constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ugandan courts. Questions: desk@afuelo.com.
